Redmine DuckCorp Infrastructure - Enhancement #787 (New): Add carddav/caldav SRV records on dc.ohttps://projects.duckcorp.org/issues/7872023-08-17T08:45:40ZMarc Dequènesduck@duckcorp.org

https://blog.fidelramos.net/software/nextcloud-caldav-carddav-dns
DuckCorp Infrastructure - Enhancement #536 (Resolved): (partially) Deprecate FTP serviceshttps://projects.duckcorp.org/issues/5362017-05-10T17:50:50ZMarc Dequènesduck@duckcorp.org

FTP is running on Elwing and Toushirou.

On Elwing, according to the logs the few allowed users are no more using it (including me). StuffCloud clearly make storing private files more practical. I could move the possible user content onto their home on Toushirou. This would also participate in separating DC from DL a bit more.

On Toushirou, I see mostly attack attempts in the log, so not sure about its usage. It was used to:
- bouncer_old: old IRC bouncer logs. We could move data in user's home on Toushirou.
- private: same
- public: some obsolete things I think, and some still useful. I think switching to HTTPS access would be fine but some project pages would need to be updated (bip, ufwi…). seems doable.
- repository: used to upload in the Debian repository without SSH access. I guess we could replace it with scp-only accounts. Currently only arnau and me are allowed to upload, so it's only to not block future usage but nothing to implement to go further
- sendfile: proposal to deprecate exist, see #535
- sites: access to websites files. I would favour allowing people to push via some git method instead. anyway we don't have many people managing their site I think, and the only one I think of has SSH access anyway. further inventory needed

Please discuss this proposal, and either close if rejected or reassign to me for implementation.
DuckCorp Infrastructure - Enhancement #485 (Resolved): Admin data and tools need to move away fro...https://projects.duckcorp.org/issues/4852015-10-20T23:20:02ZMarc Dequènesduck@duckcorp.org
This includes:

CA data

mkcert

ansible

scripts like:

check_certs_expiration

adm_publish_tlsa

mkcert could be packaged and delivered in the repositories.

All of this is security sensitive.

Two things:

create a minimalist 42 zone, with a www entry towards www-hosting

add the 42 TLD resolver configuration to every server (meaning sometimes using a remote DC NS or install bind9)

DuckCorp Infrastructure - Enhancement #279 (Resolved): /srv is good for you §1https://projects.duckcorp.org/issues/2792012-01-16T22:24:30ZMarc Dequènesduck@duckcorp.org
Plan:

/db -> /srv/db

/backup -> /srv/backup

We should raise funds (2 members proposed financial help: AnonymousDonor1 and GeorgesLeYeti), so we can acquire a new big box for virtualization. I'm waiting to have a stabilized financial situation again, before launching it.

The idea would be to have fully-managed services, like nowadays, and also delegated KVM images for experienced users.

It may be interesting to move Toushirou's shared services and only keep infrastructure services : keep the LDAP server, NS2, MX2, but move out web and FTP. The freed resources could then be used for backup (have large data not backed-up on Daneel anymore, only configs and important data would be on both), and monitoring (move Cacti from Elwing). Core websites should stay on Toushirou through (with light dependencies, like webgen-generated DC's website, better for security too).
DuckCorp Infrastructure - Enhancement #137 (Rejected): Add bats to Toushirou's 3ware card ?https://projects.duckcorp.org/issues/1372010-09-01T21:34:48ZMarc Dequènesduck@duckcorp.org

Stereo said it is around 80-90€. As datacenter are less and less reliable, we should consider installing such device.
DuckCorp Infrastructure - Enhancement #116 (Resolved): Add RoundCube webmailhttps://projects.duckcorp.org/issues/1162010-07-23T20:40:02ZMarc Dequènesduck@duckcorp.org

Install roundcube to webmail-rc.duckcorp.org, and later rename webmail.duckcorp.org to webmail-sm.duckcorp.org, and add a simple portal on webmail.duckcorp.org.
DuckCorp Infrastructure - Enhancement #71 (Rejected): Add new Cacti statshttps://projects.duckcorp.org/issues/712010-05-01T21:26:02ZMarc Dequènesduck@duckcorp.org
I recently Added the following:

NTP (not working yet)

context switches / interrupts

MySQL

Bind9

It should be nice to fix the NTP template and have a look at the following:

lm-sensors: http://docs.cacti.net/usertemplate:data:netsnmp:lmsensors

And why not have a look at Munin example for missing interresting stats, like on this public site: http://munin.ping.uio.no/
DuckCorp Infrastructure - Documentation #63 (In Progress): Admin Documentationhttps://projects.duckcorp.org/issues/632010-04-11T21:12:47ZMarc Dequènesduck@duckcorp.org
