See Debian#803204 for explanation. I made a patch, rebuilt for Jessie, and it works fine now.

I'm leaving the bug opened to follow the Debian and upstream integration.

There is no upstream commits since October 2011, so I guess this library is dead and there is no reason to invest more time to make a better patch.
It was reported upstream without any action:
https://github.com/meduketto/iksemel/issues/48

As long as it is fixed in the Debian package we can go on and hope Zabbix will get away from it, see:
