The Zalman is installed on Elwing. It is a bit better now, but not terrific. Seems the airflow is too weak to drag all the heat out.

Temperatures when working for a long time:

• 44 on the one Zalman-ed
• 48 on the other
• 34-35 on the two extra drives in the external case, without side fan pluggued

Maybe i should increase the fan speed again.

Temperatures on Elwing when not extremely busy:

• 41 on the one Zalman-ed
• 44 on the other
• 33 on the two extra drives in the external case, without side fan pluggued

Temperatures on Daneel when not extremely busy:

• 41 on the one Zalman-ed
• 50 on the other

There's a real improvement for the Zalman's disk, and the other one only goes higher than 50 when heavily loaded. The two in the external case are in perfect conditions.

The flow is both cases is in the "low" position (the "smart" one was not enough and too much related to the CPU temp, while "low" is not noisy and ensure a minimum flow for the inside case when the CPU is not hot enough). Seem it is not really enough for hot days :-/.

So, there's a real progress, but i'm leaving the ticket opened in order to look for more improvement a bit futher.

It was OK during winter. Now it's getting fresher a bit, and temperature are now:

• Elwing: 28/29/34/37
• Daneel: 37/46

Seems the disks on Daneel are producing more heat, but that's not dramatic.
