Description

As seen in #526:

Jinta | FAILED | rc=1 >>
Failed to create bus connection: No such file or directory

Thorfinn | FAILED | rc=1 >>
Failed to create bus connection: No such file or directory

systemd-logind is not running, probably due to libpam-systemd not being installed.

Also dbus-daemon is not running.

I think we should first enforce having these packaged installed on all Linux systems:
  • systemd
  • systemd-sysv
  • libpam-systemd

And investigate why all daemons and systemd tools are not working.

After migrating to Stretch, all systems have all three packages (except maybe Korutopi which is down). nevertheless #526 is still reproducible.

libpam-systemd is now enforced for shell sessions.

No change for the other two yet. Also dbus is not installed on Jinta for some reason.
