We acquired a machine from another sponsor, and would like to buy disks to transform it into a user machine (instead of current Thorfinn VDS, which will be switched off when i move out of Paris).

Before we invest in anything, we need to find a place for this machine in a datacenter. We cannot afford spending money for its housing, so we need a sponsor. The goal of this task is to prospect and find a sponsor for such a machine, with the following criterias:

• the sponsor needs to agree with our policy, which is expressed very simply here:
  • the sponsor must not interfere in any way in the administration or content (he may only tell his opinion)
  • the sponsor must give at least 1 extra month before shutting down the sponsorship starting from an official announcement (except if it is technically impossible)
• 1U space and single PSU entry
• network connectivity:
  • preferably, good (100Mbps min) Ethernet connectivity with AS34019 (peering), with an optionnal (but would be nice) small emergency link via its own network (used for SSH only)
  • or, direct good (100Mbps min) Ethernet connectivity via its own network
• no network filtering
