Once upon a time, we tried to adapt FFSync (Firefox Sync Server) to our needs, to propose it as a new service. Modifications were needed to plug it into our LDAP infrastructure.
The goal of this task is to create an auth plugin for FFSync, and patch the core only if really needed, to get a fully functionnal sync server. Our preliminary modifications were abandonned before being usuable, but it can help defined the needed parameters and mechanisms. Using a recent code base is needed, as this plugin could probably be provided as an alternative auth method.
