Description

During FOSDEM 2017, we were using the Android Telegram client (Free Software) but the Telegram server isn't free software. An alternative service based on free software is required.

Required features:
  • TLS
  • end to end encryption
  • nice mobile client for Android
Nice to have:
  • Debian packages
  • not implemented using PHP
Constraints:
  • not implemented using Java

Some time ago we talked about experimenting with a Matrix server; now that Toushirou has been upgraded we should have the resources for such a service.
